Big Brother Training at Muskoka Woods

This May, a group of enthusiastic and motivated leaders from grades 10 and 11 attended a Big Brother Training Session at Camp Muskoka Woods in Haliburton. This beautiful Muskoka setting provided the backdrop for two days of training that focused on the role that these leaders will play as Big Brothers to our incoming grade 9 students throughout the 2010-2011 school year. Since their return, the Big Brothers have been working hard to plan for next year, beginning with Freshman Orientation and the Camp Muskoka Woods weekend in September. The Big Brothers are committed to ensuring that the grade 9 students have a great transition to life at Neil. The school's Big Brother Program has been recognized as a vital component of the Neil McNeil Leadership Program and in the school’s winning the Premier's Award for Excellence in Teaching.  Mr. Kovacs, Ms. Buckley, Mr. Morale, Ms. Zeltins, and Mr. DiFlorio would like to thank all the Big Brothers for their commitment to the training and look forward to working with you when we return to school in September!
