Neil Freshmen Rise to the Challenge

The Freshman Forty Challenge is going strong in 2011. Grade nine students are encouraged to complete their forth hours of community service in their first year of high school. The challenge is a chance for students to use their 'Time, Talent and Treasures’ to live their faith-in-action.

With the buzz in the air, incentives similar to those from last year have continued. The display board has been a huge success as many students have waited to see their name transferred over to the TCDSB logo, symbolizing Faith, Hope and Love. Monthly draws have started with our first Gr. 9 winner being Zen MacLellan for the month of January. He is now the proud owner of Neil McNeil sweat pants! Prize draws will continue monthly, with a pair of Toronto Maple Leafs tickets being awarded in the month of February. These monthly draws will culminate with a Celebratory Breakfast during Catholic Education week honouring and recognizing their faith-in-action and passion toward service, leadership and discipleship.
